Associate Manager, DTC SVOD (Temp)

Job Description
THE ROLE:
The Associate Manager, Direct-to-Consumer (DTC SVOD) will report to Director, Content Strategy & Operations, DTC SVOD, and will contribute their knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm to support A+E's DTC services – A&E Crime Central, History Vault and Lifetime Movie Club. They will be responsible for managing operational, data analysis and implementation, and editorial tasks – including content scheduling and editorial execution across platforms, with an emphasis on improving the customer experience, driving content engagement and generating revenue growth. This role plays a key part in managing content scheduling, asset and Airtable management, metadata and copy creation, editorial curation, acquisitions process and ensuring alignment with overarching brand and business goals. Working across both owned and third-party channels, the Associate Manager, DTC SVOD will collaborate with internal teams and partners to optimize content performance, maintain a consistent voice, and contribute to the overall success of our digital strategy. A strong understanding of platform best practices and content discovery are important, along with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Scheduling & Operational Oversight:
• Schedule video content for all three DTC SVOD products, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
• Use rights management systems to confirm content availability and run reports to facilitate scheduling.
• Fulfill metadata to optimize content discovery and engagement across all platforms.
• Make weekly updates to owned platforms across all three products (features, homepages, series and movies pages).
• Communicate with internal and external operational and product teams.
• Operational troubleshooting across owned and third-party platforms.
• Learn and adopt new product developments across owned and third-party platforms.
• Liaise with customer service vendor to address content-related questions, concerns.
• Owned product QA and testing.
• Partner with Marketing on email newsletter content selection and execution.
• Collaborate with social team to create relevant and engaging posts Lifetime Movie Club Facebook page.
Strategy & Analysis:
• Contribute to content planning and overall content strategy development through brainstorming sessions and collaborative ideation.
• Monitor analytics dashboards to track content performance, audience engagement, and platform trends to guide editorial curation.
• Maintain and update content trackers.
Editorial Curation & Acquisitions:
• Create and maintain editorial playlists across all owned and third-party platforms to optimize content discovery and engagement.
• Utilize analytics dashboards to dictate curation and cadence of updates.
• Build content hubs on owned platforms to increase engagement.
• Assist with the content acquisitions process by documenting, tracking, and vetting content.
Internal Collaboration & Communication:
• Work closely with cross-functional internal teams including marketing, creative, linear scheduling, and product to ensure alignment.
• Maintain clear and proactive communication with internal stakeholders and external partners to streamline workflows and troubleshoot issues.
• Assist in maintaining the organization of inventory across platforms within internal tracking systems.
Third Party Platform Optimization & Innovation:
• Monitor priority partners' storefronts to ensure quality assurance of content inclusion and placements
• Communicate with partners to troubleshoot issues and share product and content-related feedback
• Learn and adopt newly developed content-related functions and features
• Ideate innovative ways to improve engagement and retention.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 3 years of experience working with digital video strategies and operations.
• Knowledge of CMS platforms, ideally for video streaming sites/apps.
• Experience with data management platforms and scheduling platforms a plus.
• Experience w/analytics data using tools like Adobe and Amplitude.
• Proficiency w/Excel.
• Familiarity with Airtable, and experience using AI a plus.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to managing workload.
• Ability to prioritize workload effectively and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Adaptable to the evolving media landscape, staying ahead of trends, platform changes, and emerging best practices.
