THE DIVISION'S STORY Production Operations and Engineering consists of a wide range of media centric roles. We are responsible for managing the entire life cycle of A E's programming. This is where we produce, transform, broadcast and distribute content as well as run the tech infrastructure for the Media Supply chain. THE ROLE: Assistant Editor, Production Operations, Post Production (Temporary) (NYC Campus) A E Networks is looking to hire new talent for our Post and Technical Operations departments to help meet and exceed our goals. MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO: Fluent in Avid Media Composer. Familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro, Media Encoder, and Post production workflows. Knowledge of ingesting/syncing/grouping, applying luts, handling mixed frame-rates, stringouts, script sync. Familiarity with the process of an Edit session and ability to troubleshoot. Familiarity with finishing workflows; up-resing, prepping for online/grading/mix, QC, export files for transcode and delivery. Knowledge of camera RAW codec and folder structures are a plus. Familiarity with Broadcast and international audio / video specifications. Knowledge of Interplay is a plus. Basic After Effects experience is a plus. Proficiency with Microsoft office, Teams, Google suite, Mac PC OS. Self-sufficient and a team player, know how to work efficiently under tight deadlines. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail. YOUR STORY: 1-2 years' experience working in a post production facility or similar production experience. Broadcast television network experience is preferred. Familiarity with various tape formats, file formats, the encoding process, and digital delivery methods. Familiarity with various file formats, the encoding process, the media supply chain and digital delivery methods. Experience with post production peripheral applications, including but not limited to: Airtable, Office 365, MS Teams, Google G-Suite apps, Shift, others. Strong computer skills with experience in administering Windows and MacOS systems. The ability to juggle multiple priorities and communication streams at once through a variety of platforms; email, Microsoft Teams, etc. The ability to maintain a professional demeanor during periods of higher-volume work and/or pressing deadlines. The desire to learn and take the initiative to gain technical and institutional knowledge. Please note project assignment associates are engaged to provide service to A E Networks on a temporary basis in connection with a specific project. Project assignment associates are hired and employed through a third-party vendor with a duration/tenure of no longer than eighteen (18) months.
