THE ROLE: Assistant, Distribution
This role is responsible for assisting the A E Networks Distribution team. The individual will provide administrative and organizational support for staff and essential departmental projects focused on network distribution and digital content licensing of the A E Network portfolio.
MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Assistant, Distribution:
• Assist with assorted projects including, the development of sales presentations, coordinating research information, and analysis of content distribution providers and platforms
• Support with EST/DTO/VOD projects such as new partner onboarding, audits, and special requests
• Facilitate client outreach and communications such as mailings, marketing incentives, and event invitations
• Contract administration
• Manage client database and other sales tracking tools
• Manage travel and expense reports
• Schedule/Calendar/Phone management
• Assist with managing department budgets and check requests
• Provide additional administrative support for distribution legal
• Support senior management as backup coverage for NY based Executive Assistants
• Attend trade shows and client events
• Additional responsibilities as needed within the scope of the position
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:
This is an opportunity to learn about all the aspects of content distribution, from traditional MVPD distribution to digital content distribution (EST/AVOD/SVOD). The role is situated as the hub of a cross-divisional team working on business development, sales, partnerships, marketing and contract negotiations with distributors of the A E network portfolio. You'll have the opportunity to optimize your skills in organization, time management, communication, presentation development, research, and financial planning. In addition, you'll gain insights into deal negotiations, business strategy, and legal processes for securing and managing distribution television agreements.
YOUR STORY:
• B.A., B.S., or equivalent preferred
• Professional administrative, organizational support, or Intern experience
• Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Keynote, Internet savvy)
• Experience working in a professional environment with multiple business priorities
• Distribution/Sales/Digital Content/Entertainment experience a plus
• Superb organizational and time management skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Proactive and thorough in approach and follow-up
• Takes responsibility and ownership for tasks
• Can work independently to achieve goals and has a positive attitude
• Excellent spoken and written communications skills
• Able to multi-task and work well with others
• Discretion and integrity
• At ease in fast-paced, high energy, ever-changing work environment
• General knowledge of traditional and emerging content distribution platforms
• Occasional travel may be required
