THE ROLE: Ad Sales Analyst
The Ad Sales Analyst is responsible for handling all aspects of inventory management to maximize revenue. The major activities within the role consist of overseeing the deal approval module in Wide Orbit, maintaining weekly/quarterly schedule changes, assisting with the preparation and set up for all Scatter and Upfront Rate Cards, and pulling analyses and inventory reports for your direct manager/Integrated Sales Planners/Sales Service Representatives.
You will need to have knowledge, experience and understanding of Ad Sales pricing techniques for the rate card/inventory management. You will need to showcase exceptional attention to detail and possess strong organizational skills. You will be responsible for maintaining our weekly/quarterly schedule and ensuring we our monetizing our inventory. You will assist the Sales Service Representatives with providing guidance on comparable upgrades/re-expressions as well as maintaining the deal approval module.
MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Ownership of Deal Approval module in WON which will allow for better inventory management thus maximizing revenue. Analyst will approve all inventory changes made in WON by planners and Sales Service Representatives. including unit moves, deletions, adu additions, resolutions of preemptions, makegoods and rejections.
• Closely monitor category avails and integrated time usage, becoming overall network inventory expert. Request additional breaks from programming group to clear revenue in certain key categories.
• Prepare weekly inventory reports for the ad sales staff and upper management. Analyze inventory and bring up hot buttons (low/high sellout shows) to the managers attention so that the ad sales team can be alerted to a change in available inventory for sale.
• Obtain sell-out information for programs and dayparts by quarter in WON. Distribute reports to Sales Team.
• Maintain selling title schedule in WON as well as make decisions on how to price programs based on advertiser demand.
• Proper selling titles must be maintained to enable traffic to schedule the correct programs and formats as well as ensure the correct impressions and rate card are attributed to each sellable program for our Sales Planning proposal system
• Generation of scatter and upfront rate cards will consist of the following duties:
• Preparing grids for research and traffic with all new selling names/programs
• Ensuring all current selling names are set up appropriately in the ''In Sale/Out of Sale Window'' in WON
• Making sure there are no gaps/overlaps in capacity
• Uploading estimates from Research and applying sales bump
• Providing clear schedule change instructions to Sales Service Representatives once the rate card is released
