THE ROLE: A&E Production Coordinator
A&E On-Air Brand Marketing is looking for a Production Coordinator to join our team. We are looking for a self-starter who is detail oriented, has an obsessive need for order, and a get-it-done attitude. Must be a quick learner who can take direction well and work independently. Must have the ability to work well under pressure and handle many projects at once, often with similar deadlines. Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills are also must. Familiarity with technical specs and lingo, and edit software is preferred.
MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO:
A&E Production Coordinator:
• Oversee the life cycle of On-Air brand creative projects including promos/trailers, multiplatform content, Upfront/sales tapes
• Communicate project needs – promo lengths, tags, due dates – to producers and creative directors
• Proactively keep team members on deadline and flag issues to stakeholders in a timely manner.
• Work closely with programming to obtain production timelines and assets/footage for upcoming or current series
• Manage the workload for the PM edit sessions. This includes promo tag-outs, PR scene pull requests, affiliate requests, etc.
• Oversee delivery of assets for digital and TV media buys
• QC all finished promos to make sure that branding and tags are correct
• Handle clearances for all footage or images that need to be licensed for promotional use. This involves working closely with the internal rights department as well as working directly with outside vendor and negotiating rates.
• Manage edit resources and the edit schedule
• Order episodes, submit load requests, and order graphics as needed
• Work with the Post Production team to manage the media workspace allocation
• Assist on shoot prep as needed
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:
The production coordinator is required to have a high attention to detail with a can- do attitude. You'll be critical to the post-production of campaigns working closely with producers/show productions. You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment while continuing to grow your production knowledge. Finally, you'll be exposed to various A E departments and stakeholders to learn the goals, needs and direction so you can become a trusted partner.
YOUR STORY:
• Bachelor's degree in communications, film, television or related field
• 2-3 years experience in television/post-production environment
• Familiarity with technical specs and lingo, and edit software is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills are a must.
• Quick learner who can take direction well and work independently.
• Collaborative and team oriented approach
