Please note: This is an unpaid internship. Candidates must be eligible to receive college credit as compensation for this internship. Candidates selected to move forward in the interview process will need to submit proof of eligibility to receive academic credit for their time interning with Wasserman, and will be disqualified if they are unable to do so.
This position will report to the Manager, Digital Marketing and VP of Digital Marketing in the Team Sports department. This division helps manage and create content for the digital properties of Wasserman athletes, including but not limited to Facebook fan pages, Twitter accounts, and client websites.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Help create athlete social media content and maintain detailed knowledge of team sports landscape
• Brainstorm and execute digital activations and sponsorships for clients including giveaways and brand partnerships
• Assist with reporting on social media analytics, social media audits, and tracking relevant news for athlete clients in the digital space.
• Assist with departmental task and special projects as needed
Qualifications:
• Must be able to earn college credit for internship
• Understanding of all social media platforms and their functions
• Must have an strong interest in and knowledge of sports, especially NBA basketball and MLB, and actively be immersed and follow professional athletes on social media
• Applicants must be organized, detail oriented, be self-motivated, and enthusiastic. They must possess a professional attitude while demonstrating initiative and good communication skills.
• Candidates with strong writing skills, and copy writing, design, and/or social media management experience strongly preferred

Interns will attain a rewarding learning experience by interning for a large sports/entertainment company, as well as learning the importance of business organization and management. They will make connections with industry leaders to obtain exposure to the strategies behind digital management and marketing in sports.
