Full Time Job
Based in Stamford, the Director is responsible for the planning and routing of global annual arena events. He/she will also be responsible for directly negotiating terms with venues to maximize revenue and profit for the unit. The Director will provide strategic management on a national and international level and work to identify key areas for new business opportunities and efficiencies to existing business models.
Key Responsibilities:
Route and negotiate WWE’s tours in the US and International Marketplace. Including:
* Negotiate venue terms on behalf of WWE taking all revenue streams into account
* Develop a booking strategy that maximizes ticket sales and travel / routing efficiencies
* Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external partners
* Liaise with Regional/ International Directors to plan touring schedule taking into account local competitive events and optimal event periods
* Create and analyze various reports to identify venue and overall tour profitability
* Develop a keen understanding of market demographics across all key markets
* Work to adjust and develop strategies to handle poor as well as high sales in an ever changing marketplace
* Review venue settlements to identify areas for improvement
* Publish regular scheduling updates to the entire company
* Work with VP Global Touring and SVP Live Events to create tour plan working 24 months in advance
* Provide strategic management and planning to help the unit meet and exceed budgeted targets and align corporate objectives
* Act swiftly to address urgent, sensitive and/or highly confidential matters relating to events
Requirements:
* 5 ’' 10 years in arena bookings
* Minimum 3 years global routing experience with a major global touring entity
* Bachelors Degree
* Strong analytical skills
* Be able to thrive in a fast paced environment
* Outstanding oral and written communicator
* Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally
