WWE is seeking a Digital Retoucher to join our super-talented and collaborative Creative Services team in Stamford, CT.
In order to be considered: All applicants must provide a portfolio or website that demonstrates proficiency in retouching, compositing, and color correcting.
Please note that all candidates will be given a retouching assessment during the interview process.
Key Responsibilities:
• Retouch photos/images and rebuild low-resolution compositions into print/digital-ready images in a dynamic, high-volume in-house studio, which includes:
• Image composition/digital finishing
• Environmental blending
• Lighting/contrasting
• Skin/tone matching
• Color correction
• Complex clipping and hair silhouetting
• Enhance designer compositions, concepts, and visions in an artistic manner based on art direction and design, as well as final art finishing, revitalizing, and finessing
• Follow procedures for naming, saving, and archiving images
• Maintain image quality and standards
• Meet deadlines and daily image counts
• Review completed work before releasing projects
• Maintain an efficient workflow with the ability to follow a defined process accurately and consistently
• Collaborate with and take direction from Art/Creative Directors to achieve high quality images
• Manage retouching coordination with Photography, Art Direction and Production teams to facilitate and prioritize jobs as needed
• Utilize proprietary digital asset management tools throughout the editing process
Qualifications:
• 4 years of professional retouching experience
• Experience in Beauty/Fashion retouching preferred
• Expert in Adobe Photoshop CS with a strong understanding of curves, levels, color balance, masking, actions, and other tools and adjustments
• Highly skilled at matching skin tone
• Understanding of digital photography and lighting
• Working knowledge of InDesign and Illustrator a plus
• Understanding of printing and pre-press specifications
• Detail-oriented
• Able to take direction from Art/Creative Directors
• Able to function effectively and efficiently in a deadline-driven, fast-paced high-volume production environment
• Able to work quickly without sacrificing overall image quality
• Able to work on multiple jobs simultaneously and agility to switch gears at a moment's notice
• Able to work well both independently and in a group environment with colleagues and clients of all levels and functions
• Able to quickly adapt to changes in project direction
• Able to work extra/flexible hours based on department and company needs (offsite capabilities a plus)
