Job Purpose
The Broadcast Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for the hardware, software and programming of all types of equipment found in a remote broadcast facility. Ability to fully integrate complex broadcast systems successfully.
Duties and Responsibilities
Travel on site to perform programming of broadcast equipment
Travel within the United States to both VER offices and customer sites
Travel abroad when necessary to support VER equipment on international projects
Perform service on routers, switchers, camera, and replay systems
Supervise and manage broadcast crew
Add devices to a local area network
Create a LAN and use for the day to day tasks and quality control processes
Troubleshoot signal flow through a system and identify faults compromised through performance
Qualifications
7 or more years of experience with Broadcast and Production equipment use as well as maintenance
Certifications in Windows, Cisco, EVS, and/or Sony are preferred
Production experience applications are beneficial
Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Excel, Windows, and Apple OSX
Must possess a solid understanding of sharing user credentials, switch topology, LAN vs WAN, and IP addressing
Knowledge of Timecode, Reference, HD-SDI, 3G, 4K, media files, and transcoding workflows
Working Conditions
Must be willing and able to travel both domestically and internationally
Must be able to work weekdays and weekends when required
