INTERNSHIP SUMMARY: Unleashing Giants is seeking a Production Intern to work alongside our Production Coordinator to empower our next generation of leaders through the medium of film-making. This is a part-time internship that offers school credit and a weekly stipend. While working with a group of 20 students, the qualified intern will develop leadership skills, teaching skills, film-making skills, and gain experience in an organization dedicated to helping our youth discover, nurture and celebrate their innate abilities and skills. Production Interns must have a passion for film-making as well as an aspiration to teach and mentor others.
Essential functions of the internship may include, but are not limited to, the following:
-Assist with planning, preparing and delivering lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning.
-Assist with instructing and monitoring students with the use of learning materials and equipment.
-Help manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
-Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules, disciplinary systems and expectations of the school.
-Assist with instructing students on how to operate professional film equipment including basic cameras, lens, sound, and lighting.
-Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
Other functions of the internship include, but are not limited to, the following:
-Demonstrate preparation and skill in working with students from diverse cultural, economic and ability backgrounds.
-Participate in appropriate professional activities.
-Exhibit an ongoing respect for and love of the art of film-making
-Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
-Working towards first degree program,
-Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
-Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
-Knowledge of Google drive and docs
-Strong interest in film
-Strong creative and critical thinking capacities
-Ideally pursuing a degree in film studies, business, education or related fields
