Description
Job title: Royalty Accountant
Responsible to: Head of Finance
Department: Finance , Bravado
Location of work: Chiswick, London
Main purpose of role
Responsibility for royalty accounting for the Bravado touring merchandise business.
The role will support the Head of Finance as well as working in conjunction with the wider UK Finance team and members of Senior Management both in the UK & US as required.
Key responsibilities:
• Calculate and prepare royalty accounting to Bravado acts in line with contractual terms
• Resolve queries received from artists, agents and other rights holders
• Calculate and post monthly royalty accruals including true ups to actuals
• Coding and authorisation of advance payments in line with contractual terms
• Calculate and report foreign entertainer tax (FEU) where applicable
• Assisting with month end procedures
• Assist with bank payments review & sign off
• Assist in Preparation of Artist P&Ls when required by senior management
• Additional responsibilities as agreed with on ad-hoc basis with Head of Finance
Person specification
Essential:
• IT literate and experience of different accounting software and packages
• Knowledge and experience of royalties, financial accounting, procedures and control
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office
• Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking
• Good communication skills
• Strong team player
• Motivated and committed
• Ability to manage own workload
Desirable:
• Knowledge and experience working with Hyperion & Navision
• Experience working in touring /merchandise royalties
