Description
Job title: Production Accountant
Responsible to: Financial Director
Department: U-Live
Location of work: Kensington High Street
Main Purpose of Role
U-Live is a promoter, producer and investor in live entertainment. The U-Live portfolio includes Festivals and Outdoor Formats, Live Film and Musical Theatre.
The role will support the Financial Director and work alongside the U-Live commercial team in order to prepare accurate, detailed and timely production accounts. The role will be a key part of the U-Live team and should be available to provide advice, guidance, and solutions to finance and non-finance staff.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare consolidated monthly Production Accounts for all U-Live projects including detailed balance sheet reconciliations.
• Cash flow reporting and management including proactively liaising with AP, AR and Treasury to ensure tasks are being carried out correctly.
• Monitoring and reporting expenditure against budgets.
• Manage Purchase Order, Invoice and the Payment process.
• Liaising with external partners as required.
• Prepare bank reconciliations for all investments.
• Responsible for all HMRC reporting including VAT and FEU Submissions.
• Bank Payments review/ sign off.
• Assist with year-end audit and any other statutory requirements.
• Comply with Universal Music Accounting Standards and IFRS.
• Undertake any other relevant duties or reasonable tasks as requested by the GM or FC.
Person Specification
Essential:
• Part qualified accountant
• Knowledge and experience of financial accounting, procedures and control
• Proficient knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking
• Good communication skills
• Motivated and committed
Desirable:
• Knowledge and experience of the Live Music Industry
• SAP and Hyperion experience
