Universal Music Group is seeking a Communications Intern for the upcoming Spring semester, who is currently enrolled in a Master’s Program to join the Corporate IT department in Woodland Hills, CA.The UMG Internship Program (UMG-U) is designed to provide hands-on experience and exposure to a career in the music entertainment industry. This specific role could supplement or be considered as a Master’s Thesis for students in their final semester of a Graduate Program.
Job Functions:
• Developing an actionable communication strategy, as well as a plan to implement it internally within IT.
• Surveying target audiences on potential improvements in communication between Management and IT staff, as well as between Corporate IT and the entire organization.
• Support monthly IT Communication Newsletter.
• Assist with other departmental tasks as needed.
Job Requirements:
Skills/Abilities:
• Survey/Interview skills
• Graphic design (preferred)
• Exceptional computer, written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to legally work in the United States
Out of State Applicants
• Housing/relocation will NOT be provided by UMG for students applying to internship positions outside of their state of residence.
Education:
• Must be a Graduate Student currently enrolled at an accredited college or university
• Preferably a Communications or Marketing student in final year of study.
