Please note - this role is a fixed term contract covering maternity leave until July 2018.
The purpose of the role is to provide the full spectrum of compensation & benefits functional services across EMEA, providing expertise on the implementation and promotion of these locally. The Reward Manager will work with the Reward Director to support the effective review, design and delivery of Compensation & Benefits programmes that recognize and reward critical skills, capabilities, and performance and ensure that reward programmes are in line with market practice and business strategy. In addition, they will manage and drive ad-hoc project work and provide in-depth analysis, enhancing the effectiveness of the overall HR function and contributing to provide insight on current projects, lessons learned and best practice.
Key Responsibilities
• Work with the Reward Director in developing total rewards strategies, representing the regions needs and driving the implementation of appropriate solutions
• Manage local implementation of core reward processes e.g., annual pay review cycle, bonus and profit share processes, sales and other variable incentive schemes, providing analytical evaluation, ensuring data accuracy and effective stakeholder management
• Ownership of EMEA benefit programs and ongoing development and review, including annual benefits enrollment process and partnering with HR for administration and implementation. Will act as liaison with external service providers on issues, scheme management and annual renewal processes
• Work closely with and support the Reward Director by providing in depth analysis to assist the development and roll-out of salary structures across the region, working alongside international colleagues to align with one reward framework and approach as far as possible. Take the lead on the project management, analysis, ongoing communication to all stakeholders (HR, line managers, employees) and implementation of salary plans.
• Review current compensation practices by geography or job family as required providing market and industry benchmarks and analysis and making recommendations to support business decisions
• Conduct market pricing/benchmarking across total reward, coordinate and manage regular salary and compensation benchmarking survey submissions on behalf of Turner, working with a range of external providers and relevant internal stakeholders ensuring Turner maximizes its visibility of market and industry trends in compensation
• Perform day-to-day compensation-related operations, including ad-hoc benchmarking or analysis job evaluations and pricing; periodic Reward data audit, working collaboratively with Employee Services to ensure efficient and effective delivery of reward programmes and acting as advisor for the resolution of reward queries and escalations
• Proactive development and delivery of compensation and benefit training, and communications across EMEA, seeking feedback as appropriate and including new starter orientation and ongoing provision of up to date and easy to access Compensation & Benefits information on the Intranet (supporting Manager and Employee Self-Service)
• Provide analysis and drive the coordination and administration of various spot bonus and sales incentive schemes, partnering with Finance and wider HR team. This includes not only daily tasks but also annual review of plan, rules, documentation and process
• Management of any regulatory reporting requirements and associated analysis
• Partner with the global Compensation team on Equity (Stock Options, RSU) related data maintenance, administration, reporting, and coordination of equity transactions and payments with local payroll
• Devise a plan and oversee the sourcing and administration of employee discount schemes and perks with regional reach
• Partner with C&B Director & corporate Global Mobility team as contact for regional HR, payroll, Tax, and Finance relating to globally mobile employees
• Develop relationships with HR, partnering proactively to develop solutions and tools to compensation issues specific to markets, geographies and roles
Key Competencies and Person Specification
• Significant work experience within a Reward function across a range of compensation and benefits subjects and in multiple countries
• Work experience in a fast-paced multinational business environment required
• Industry experience (FMCG, High Tech, Media) preferred
• Knowledge of relevant market practices and international law governing compensation and benefits
• Knowledge of PeopleSoft as well as other HR systems and processes
• Ability to effectively analyse and synthesize large amounts of complex data into relevant insights
• Ability to present data in a logical, concise manner
• Excellent and proactive written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate analytics and ability to quickly gain credibility with key stakeholders
• Superior project management skills (organization, planning, and time management)
• Ability to manage ambiguity, risk, and changing direction of projects and priorities
• High professional standards for customer service, confidentiality, and quality of work
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office and superior Excel skills
• Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and towards deadlines
• Ability to manage competing priorities
• Demonstrates highest attention to detail, analytical and problem solving skills
• HR or finance/accounting experience preferred
• Excellent English language capability (written and spoken)
