Search for Content Coordinator jobs in Los Angeles-CA
Facilitates production and pre-production requirements for daily live newscasts. Pre-production responsibilities include script and tech rundown prep, prepping and decking video playbacks, show coding for Ross OD automation, digital assets coordination. Control Room responsibilities include coordinating all live-shots with field crews and Newscenter Ops, graphics, timing/counting live and pre-produced playback elements including vo/sots and packages, talent cues and coordinating studio floor direction. Responsibilities also include tracking status of edited content for playback during live news broadcasts. Create MOS objects and confirm matching rundown and playlist status. Author a daily Production Report detailing operational and technical status of daily newscasts. Provide desktop editing support (Final Cut Pro) when necessary and applicable. Supervise server management during live broadcasts and coordinate News content archiving processes following daily newscasts. Bachelors Degree in Communications or related field preferred. Minimum 2 years live broadcast associate director or director experience, preferably in live news production. Must be an effective communicator with the ability to organize and motivate co-workers. Possess fundamental understanding and operational knowledge of recent digital video and audio production technologies, applications and capabilities. Experience in Ross Overdrive or equivalent production automation systems a plus. Demonstrates a propensity to learn and adapt to new production processes and technologies. Working knowledge of News operating systems including OPUS, TONS, Clip-Edit, Final Cut Pro, VizRT or equivalent experience with News production and operating systems. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office/Outlook and Excel programs. Operational knowledge of server based storage/play-out systems required. Operational knowledge of desktop editing systems required. Works well under deadline and remained focus and emotionally resilient under the pressure of a live broadcast. Must be able to make quick decisions and give accurate instructions to crew during live broadcasts.
