Trailer Park’s Strategy & Insights department services Trailer Park as a Strategic resource, on existing and new business. Producing consumer and cultural insights, integrated into Strategic processes and deliverables, Trailer Park’s Strategy team sets the tone and insight that drives our world-class creative. The department’s mission is to lead Trailer Park into the future of Entertainment marketing, evangelizing our offering as the industry’s go-to strategic partner with taking premium content to market.
The Director of Trends Research will lead the development of Trailer Park’s IP and thought leadership material. She/he will be tasked with ownership of the organization’s evolving POV on how content goes to market, as well as general cultural and consumer trends. She/he will be a source of consumer inspiration internally/externally, working directly with the team’s Strategists to feed new information to clients on a regular basis. She/he will also manage a pipeline of insights products – newsletters, webinars, immersions, etc – to keep Trailer Park informed and provide inspiration to the marketplace.
Responsibilities
• Own the development of Trailer Park’s insights-based POV on how Entertainment goes to market
• Develop and manage general market panel, keep Trailer Park in field developing topical insights for Entertainment & Brand partners
• Provide adhoc research/intelligence to department’s clients
• Field and develop bi-annual thought leadership research
• Ideate and execute an ongoing feed of insights – industry white papers papers, data driven topical thought pieces, expert interview video content
• Regularly work across departments to glean learned best practices and aggregate this knowledge into client facing materials
Qualifications
• 4-7 years working in Consumer Insights at or with an Entertainment property
• Ideally holds a degree in Marketing, Psychology, or Communications
• Experience working with youth focused Entertainment
• Experience storytelling data, bringing consumers to life and articulating the “why behind the what” and “so what” around consumer research
• Able to produce Primary Research start to finish. Experience managing a consumer or research panel, designing surveys, and producing reports/output
• Talent in turning raw primary research data into an actionable narrative
• A voice and perspective around the future of entertainment
