Full Time Job
The Manager of Social Strategy is responsible for coordination, planning, organization and optimization of evergreen, campaign and ad hoc social media efforts for the agency. They are an experienced strategic thinker with a deep understanding of planning, media and today’s ever-changing digital and social media landscape.
The ideal candidate will be superbly skilled at keeping every small detail in mind, while never losing sight of the big picture. They will have an organized mindset, capable of identifying original insights that help to make our creative vision a reality on a variety of platforms.
Responsibilities
• Serve as the account expert on social media standards, formats and best practices and inform the team (and clients) as they evolve. Provide feedback and input on creative to ensure it consistently delivers against brand and platform best practices
• Work in conjunction with media team and clients to weigh in on social media plans for campaigns. Provide strategic guidance on sequencing opportunities and optimizations
• Responsible for mentoring and managing the account’s community manager
• Work in conjunction with the brand strategist to ensure larger strategic briefs and thinking are in-line with media and audience targeting at-hand
• Interpret social metrics and analytics to critique plans, identify new insights and optimize media and creative content on an on-going basis
• Schedule and post all campaign work in partnership with clients, tools and media agency including management of UTM codes for tracking social content, QA and troubleshooting
• Own and build agency social media platform/partner relationships (FB/Snap/Pinterest)
• Work closely with the social media client to own the development of evergreen social content. This will include organizing client-provided inputs and transforming them into actionable content calendars. Partnering with the creative team you will work to bring these posts to life, and be responsible for scheduling appropriately
• Field ad-hoc requests as well as live content requests – IG stories, Snaps etc. – and manage content calendars in real-time to accommodate
• Organize and manage social content assets on server/client content management system (with support from Production)
• Work in conjunction with PR agency to determine roles for influencers in both evergreen and paid content
Qualifications
• At least 5 years relevant experience in social paid and organic planning in a client-facing role
• Social Platform expert, with emphasis on Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, Pinterest and YouTube
• Familiar with social management platforms such as Spredfast and Creative Hub
• Compelling presence in conversation, presentation, and in written form
• Hard-working, driven, and willing to get hands dirty
• Thrives in an entrepreneurial environment
• Familiarity with the beauty category a plus
• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from a four-year accredited college or university
