Trailer Park is seeking a Director of Operations to plan, organize and coordinate the Production Operations of our rapidly expanding TV / New Media AV department. This role reports to the President of our TV/ New Media department and works closely with all teams across the company.
Responsibilities
• Supervise and provide staff development to Coordinators, Assistant Editors and non-creative teams.
• Retain and manage freelance employees, as necessary.
• Supervise all aspects of production to ensure effective and efficient translation of the client’s creative vision to production dollars on-screen.
• Supervise and create/review budgets for internal productions.
• Analyze and negotiate budgets submitted by agencies/production companies.
• Maintain knowledge of creative goals as well as guidelines in order to assist productions in successful compliance.
• Monitor standardized rates for crew, vendors and facilities to provide continuity across Trailer Park.
• Stay current on new developments in technology to add value to the overall quality and efficiency of productions.
• Build and maintain production infrastructure and internal workflows to enable fast-paced, successful delivery of our original productions
• Oversee all aspects of production, ensuring all projects are on time and on budget.
• Regularly update executive team members on status of projects.
• Actively involved in production projects from concept to delivery.
• Responsible for the team’s day to day operations.
Qualifications
• Minimum of 8 years of Post-Production experience in television, Advertising, or Entertainment.
• Experience in diverse formats—scripted, variety, reality, and/or Film.
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Works collaboratively and proactively on multi-functional teams. Open to feedback.
• Consistently communicates using appropriate methods for the situation and audience in a clear, concise and professional manner.
• Excellent organizational communication and management skills.
• Demonstrate integrity, maturity and a constructive approach to challenges.
• Works collaboratively and proactively on multi-functional teams. Open to feedback.
• Demonstrates excellent decision making and judgment.
• Ability to successfully persuade/influence, sells ideas effectively, and gets results. Leadership extends to ability to influence senior management.
• Ability to balance multiple, concurrent projects and rapidly changing priorities in a results-oriented environment
• Has post production experience and can communicate technical needs with clients and post facility.
• Client-facing. Able to work under tight deadlines and high pressure situations.
• Experience with live action production a plus.
• Ability to delegate with ease and instill confidence in the team to get the job done.
