TIFF, a vibrant not-for-profit arts organization, is hiring for the contract position of:
Canada's Top Ten Coordinator, Festival Programming
Responsibilities
• Research and track eligible titles, soliciting screening material as required;
• Update film records in Artifax;
• Complete detailed research projects for Canada's Top Ten eligible films and special events, including In Conversation With events;
• Complete weekly Production Committee meeting minutes;
• Create Canada's Top Ten Film Festival invitations;
• Assist with schedule notification processes;
• Liaison for external stakeholders, including National Touring Partners, film stakeholders;
• Programming liaison re: representation of festival in print and on the website;
• Create Festival presentations (ex. staff presentations);
• Solicit and track festival statistics;
• Prepare guest list and track R.S.V.P. for Canada's Top Ten programming events;
• Assist with the management
• Assist department with other administrative tasks, including Festival tracking clean up, as required;
• Write a detailed post-mortem report.
Minimum Requirements
• 2-3 years work experience in arts and culture administration;
• Knowledge of the film industry and demonstrated enthusiasm for Canadian film;
• Detail and process oriented with excellent administrative and organizational skills;
• Excellent phone manner, communication fluency and interpersonal strengths;
• Mature personal judgment, exhibiting a high level of professionalism and diplomacy;
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a deadline-oriented, fast-paced environment;
• Proficiency with computers and applications (including Microsoft Office Suite and relational databases);
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment;
• Fluency in French considered an asset;
• Previous festival experience considered an asset;
• Adaptable to a flexible work schedule including some evenings and weekends.
Contract Dates
• October 30, 2017 – February 2, 2018
