Full Time Job

Responsibilities
• Monitoring social channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube, Snapchat)
• Designing creative, content-driven digital and social media content that creates delight and engagement for TIFF's audience
• Key day-to-day lead to assigned live event and/or live stream coverage
• Monitor social channels for trending conversations - identify opportunities for engagement
• Schedule posts around TIFF's The Review website, TIFF Long Take and TIFF Uncut podcast episodes, and TIFF Festival Moments, and create content for optimal release on TIFF social channels
• Assist with deployment of branded content and social post obligations
• Support the production and research for TIFF daily live shows (Red Carpet Live, Morning Show)
Minimum Requirements
• Degree or diploma in journalism, communications or digital media is an asset
• Experience volunteering or working in media or online communications
• Proven experience and active with social networks
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong visual aesthetic, experience with photography, and photo editing #feedgoals
• Experience with vlogging or appearing on broadcast video/radio or video editing is an asset
• Organized, highly attentive to detail, strong project management skills
• Creative thinker
• Ability to multitask and be a self-starter, embrace initiative and action, because there is urgency in getting across the messages of the moment
• Must have a love and curiosity around filmmaking and storytelling
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere is an asset
• Adaptable to a flexible work schedule including some evenings and weekends
Contract Dates
• Assistant 1: August 30, 2017 - September 16
• Assistant 2: September 7, 2017 - September 16
