TIFF, a vibrant not-for-profit arts organization, is hiring for the contract position of:
EVENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS ANALYST
Reporting to the Manager, Business Analysis, the Event Management Systems Analyst will act as the subject matter expert for TIFF's programming and production processes and TIFF's event management system, Artifax, providing extensive training and user support. The candidate will apply skills and knowledge in business requirements analysis and application testing to propose business solutions and automated reports.
Responsibilities
shall include but not be limited to:
• Analyzing business process and contributing to business solutions
• Supporting the writing and updating of system reports using SQL
• Comprehensive application and report testing
• Providing end-user application training, support, and troubleshooting
• Developing end-user application manuals, instruction sheets, and automated training tools
• Administrative support as required
• Supervising and training data entry volunteers as needed
Minimum Requirements
• A passion for data management and organizational effectiveness
• A strong interest in TIFF's programming and corporate initiatives
• Working knowledge of applications testing and data analysis
• Previous experience creating training manuals and business process documentation
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to constantly changing priorities
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Excellent critical thinking and problem solving/troubleshooting skills
• Working experience with SQL and other relational databases is an asset
• Adaptable to a flexible work schedule including some evenings and weekends
• Previous experience working with Artifax or other Event Management system is an asset
• Experience working with and supervising volunteers is an asset
Contract Dates
• 1 year contract, start date TBD.
