TIFF, a vibrant not-for-profit arts organization, is hiring for the contract position of: Coordinator, Youth and Community Initiatives
Responsibilities
• Coordination and delivery of community based film programming across diverse populations (including workshops and screenings at in-patient hospital settings and community organizations across the GTA)
• Coordination and booking of film-makers and guests, equipment rentals, and transportation for off-site community based programming
• Support in coordination and delivery of all youth designated filmmaker development programmes, festivals, screenings and competitions (Next Wave Co-Lab, 24HR Film Challenge, Jump Cuts and Youth Film-Maker intensive)
• Support in the supervision and support of the TIFF Next Wave Committee
Minimum Requirements
• Previous event production experience
• Experience working in community settings running arts programming (flexible and inclusiveprogramme design and delivery)
• Proven facilitation skills and experience working across diverse populations
• Exemplary inter-personal communication skills and experience working with young people
• Above-average ability to multi-task and handle a wide variety of overlapping programmes andportfolios
• Proven organizational abilities, with an exceptional eye for detail
• Well developed writing skills
• Adaptable to a flexible work schedule and requirements, including some weekends andevenings
• Motivated and able to work independently and in collaborative settings
• Willingness to work with a small team that strives for excellence
• Understanding of and passion for cinema-related programming
• Experience speaking in front of an audience
• Basic technical understanding of and experience working in film production and digital media,an asset
• Valid drivers license, an asset
