Global HR Operations provides transactional and inquiry services and support for Human Resource & Payroll processes, policies and leave of absences for domestic Employees and Cast Members across The Walt Disney Company (TWDC).
Responsibilities
A Day in the Life…
The Human Resources Operations Intern will support employees at all levels across the company by answering questions about Human Resources, Payroll processes, policies and Leaves of Absences. After successful completion of the training program, this intern will answer a large volume of phone calls and emails, researching and resolving issues, and following up with employees, clients and partners to ensure their needs are met.
The intern will need to demonstrate the ability to learn and retain the scope of responsibilities, manage conflict, partner, communicate professionally, be flexible, and be able to prioritize and multi-task while working in a fast paced environment with changing priorities.
Basic Qualifications

• Demonstrated strong ability to build relationships internally and externally
• Problem solving skills
• Self-motivated individual who can take initiative and ownership on issues and manage to resolution
• Ability to be flexible with work schedule, including evenings and weekends
Preferred Qualifications
• Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as telephone etiquette skills
• Demonstrated proficiencies in Microsoft Suite, including Access
• Demonstrated knowledge and familiarity with SAP (ELE/Payroll)
• Demonstrated understanding of account principles, payroll taxes and government payroll regulations
• Demonstrated understanding of leaves of absences and Family Medical Leave
• Multi-Lingual (Portuguese, Spanish, Haitian Creole)
Required Education
• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class, or be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months at time of application, or be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program
• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Communication, Management, English, Psychology or a closely related field.

Additional Information:
• The approximate dates of this internship are January 2017 through June 2017
• Candidate must be available to work full time hours for the duration of the internship
• Able to work flexible work schedule third shift and weekend
• Able to provide own housing and transportation in the Orlando area
• Not have already completed two consecutive (spring/fall) College or Professional Internship Programs
• Must possess unrestricted work authorization
