Full Time Job
The Creative Resources Coordinator reports to the Resources Manager and is responsible for the casting calendar to ensure accuracy of information for multi-department use. They support casting of optimal team of artists based on skillset assessments and the project requirements. The Casting Coordinator is the liaison between Supervisors, Production and HR to ensure information is being exchanged clearly and thoroughly.
Responsibilities:
• Handle day-to-day show casting needs and last minute requests to best support projects
• Maintain the casting calendar to ensure it always reflects the current and projected crewing needs
• Work with HR & Production to build optimal teams of artists for show needs based on artist skillsets
• Clearly communicate information to the artists regarding assignments, extensions and ends
• Relay confirmed artists booking information to the Sup, Coord & APM for proper Welcome Documents etc.
• Add artist feedback received into database
• Run Casting and IT Meetings to go over upcoming shows' needs.
• Receive/track artist vacations and obtain the appropriate approvals. Clearly communicate artists timeoff's with their shows and work on backfill's needed
• Work closely with Recruitment on upcoming project needs
• Create weekly casting reports to be distributed every THURSDAY EOD
• Work with facilities regarding seating of artists and projects
• Track the artist time off absences and obtain approvals from the PM/Supervisors
• Inform IT and Facilities of:
o new starters joining or moving to an off-site show to ensure they are organised and equipped at the studio and deactivation of their HQ badge access/parking
o new starters joining or returning to HQ to ensure they have badge access/parking and a workstation setup in advance
• General production administration duties as required
Essential Skills:
• Previous experience working within a production environment
• Full understanding of animation skill-sets a must
• Experience dealing with artists and talent
• Proficiency with Excel an absolute must
• Experience of dealing with confidential information
Desirable:
• Familiar with FileMaker Pro or another database software is a plus
• The understanding of the production workflow
• Artist background (or some basic animation training) desirable
Personal attributes:
• Strong attention to detail with superb follow-through skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication. A people person!
• Highly organised, first-class time management skills. Resourceful & organized nature is a must!
• Resolving a variety of problems and priorities as they occur with tact and intelligence
• Fantastic prioritizing skills, understanding of the urgency of each task
• Ability to remain calm and confident in a fast-paced environment
• The ability to build strong working relationships to work cohesively as a team
