Our company has an open Music Operations/ A&R intern position in New York City. Our intention is to find the right person willing to go through a 90 day internship program to allow the person to learn the skills required as well as for the company to assess their performance and how they'd fit into the team.
Responsibilities will include
1. Assisting in talent scouting and bringing to the attention of management of any potential opportunities (artists). That includes listening to demos and researching on potential artists and reporting to management.
2. Artist point of contact with the organization.
3. Assisting in communications between the organization, its services and music creators and artists.
4. Assisting marketing staff in developing strategy to onboard music creators and artists and make them aware of the organization's services.
5. Researching and keeping up with current trends, news in music and bringing the organization to date.
6. Coordinating and partnering with our Content Manager to formulate and implement content strategy targeted toward the music creators and fans for our social media, blog, website and other digital assets.
Requirements:
1. Really good communication skills, both written and verbally. Excellent writing and speaking skills in English.
2. Some basic experience in music industry in subject matters including music production, music promotion, sync & licensing, publishing, distribution, touring et cetera.
3. Ability to edit videos and photos using Final Cut Pro and Photoshop/Illustrator. (REQUIRED)
4. Organized, hard worker, self-starter. Adept at music researching, networking.
5. Be able to attend events,studio during late nights.
6. Attention to detail, reliable and punctual
7. Familiarity with music recording studio scene, social media and club scene.
8. Good organizational and time-management skills
