VP-Level Attorney: Business & Legal Affairs - The Mark Gordon Company
The Mark Gordon Company, a Santa Monica based film and television studio, is seeking a VP-level experienced attorney. We offer a competitive salary and great benefits, including medical and 401k.
Responsibilities:
• Report to the COO/Head of Business Affairs of the company and/or the SVP of Business Affairs.
• Negotiate and draft deals for film and television talent - actors, directors, producers, and writers.
• Maintain company legal and guild compliance, handle production contracts.
• Manage whatever legal issues arise in connection with the company's film and television projects.
Required Experience:
• Prefer 7+ years experience with at least 2 years experience in an entertainment law firm, studio, or production company.
• Strong scripted television experience preferred.
• Must be highly organized, resourceful, a self-starter, and have the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, independent company environment.
