Primary Responsibility:
Manage digital partnerships for Starz Digital Media; focus is on managing placement and promotion of titles on external partners’ digital storefronts as well as developing and executing partner and product ad/marketing campaigns. Support VP in coordinating marketing spends cross-platform and cross-company; assist in evaluating campaign proposals and efficacy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage content placement of titles on external partners’ storefronts, services and sites, including general title placement, pricing management, and presentation of all titles on external partners’ services/sites; pitch content to partners to secure optimal placement
• Develop, pitch, manage, and report on specific paid and partner-provided digital marketing/advertising campaigns in support of digital distribution. Lead cooperation with other internal departments (e.g. marketing, home video, TV, etc.) to identify specific titles to promote. Develop campaign concepts, schedule campaigns, place insertion orders, track campaign success and perform post-execution evaluation. Quality control all campaigns and promotions.
• Create promotional concepts and assets to support digital releases; manage internal creative and asset management professionals to create, develop, categorize and maintain assets used for merchandising and promotion.
• Oversee planning and execution of online marketing spends for team and use of external partner-provided inventory in support of digital distribution; analyze market for appropriate opportunities; evaluate options; make recommendations for types and placement of promotion (e.g. search-based, placement-based, sites, site networks, etc.).
• Position will be main point of contact for merchandising of all titles available for digital distribution, specifically handling execution of campaigns with external partners at the direction of VP, Digital Media.
• Maintain up-to-date records of available promotional/ad inventory on partners’ services including availability, usage, and schedules in coordination with partners.
• Create and update regular reports regarding campaign performance and traffic metrics.
• Additional duties and projects as assigned.
Education, Knowledge, and Experience:
• BA required, three to five years plus years experience in digital marketing, including implementing various forms of online advertising, as well as executing online-based campaigns across various platforms and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience creating and executing marketing campaigns, preferably in the media or entertainment space.
• Excellent understanding of the online sales process and experience with many digital advertising formats.
• Understanding of trafficking and reporting requirements; familiarity with ad trafficking tools and proof of performance systems.
• Experience with the following partners is a plus: iTunes, Xbox, Sony PSN, and cable/satellite/telco providers.
• Understanding of the movie industry is a plus.
• Knowledge of, and interest in, the digital media space.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented person with ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, experience working with multiple divisions/partners and managing those relationships.
