Search for Intern - Junior Artist / Student 2D Animation jobs in Los Angeles-CA
We are looking for talented, hard working junior artists, interns, and students with traditional animation experience and strong drawing skills to work on a high end short film that is a hybrid of animation and live action.
You will learn a technique combining traditional drawing animation over live action footage (aka roto-mation) in Photoshop and practice these skills extensively to develop professional-level abilities.
You will be working with live action footage using rotoscope & drawing skills to create 2D animation frames that match the movement of the live action character. An experienced animator / VFX artist will lead you step-by-step through the process of creating the roto-mation frame-by-frame using industry-standard practices.
The resulting footage will be portfolio-worthy and used in a high-end short film that will be an excellent showcase of your newly-developed skills with this technique.
Qualified artists can start immediately and will work remotely & set their own schedules. There is no pay, but footage can be used in your portfolio and interns will receive on-screen credit and a digital copy of the final film when it is complete. Great opportunity for new artists and students to get experience on a high-end portfolio worthy project and develop new skills.
Technical Requirements:
* Adobe Photoshop
* High-Speed internet connection to access project assets via Google Drive
* Adobe After Effects (optional)
