Role Description
SXSW Housing & Travel staff members are responsible for performing customer service functions from contact through, and including, resolution. The primary functions are to answer all customer service inquiries as quickly and accurately as possible to ensure customer satisfaction, maintain confidentiality, support the mission and values of the organization by maintaining positive and productive customer service relations both internally and externally.
Remote work is not available for this role. Approximate Seasonal dates: September 2017 – April 2018.

Basic Duties
• Assist with customer service needs of all general registrants for SXSW.
• Support and assist with customer service needs for all other SXSW Housing & Travel affiliated events.
• Ensure that housing and travel activities support the business needs of the company.
• Communicate and maintain timelines and priorities on housing activities specific to general registrants.
• Support the implementation and enforcement of company policies and procedures to ensure orderly and safe conduct at all times.
• Assist in analysis of housing operations specific to the general registrant and prepare to implement recommendations for improving operational efficiencies.
• Support short- and long-term relationships with housing and travel vendors and partners assuming responsibility for contractual compliance related to inventories, performance, continuity, quality, and safety as well as state and federal regulations and statutory requirements.
• Provide housing and travel-related customer service, including registration and credentials-related service, and user experience service to all event participants, potential participants, and company staff.
• Work with Head of Housing & Travel to meet housing- and travel-related expense and revenue budgetary goals.
