Looking for extremely organized detail-oriented team player to work in SPE's Worldwide Anti-Theft, Theatrical Distribution and Litigation Department.
Candidate will handle requests from the Motion Picture Association related to domestic and international anti-theft matters (e.g. drafting and processing powers of attorney, affidavits, obtaining supportive documentation, verifying rights to titles involved, obtaining and preparing authorizations to institute cases, coordinating information among personnel within the various SPE divisions). Candidate must be adept at managing and using various databases. Candidate should also be familiar with and capable of navigating the internet, including streaming sites, linking sites, bittorrent sites, cloud storage, search engines, user generated content sites and social media sites.
Candidate will also assist in various aspects of litigation including drafting letters and gathering information and documentation in response to discovery requests under the supervision of an attorney.Required Skills:
Desired candidate should possess the following:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to prioritize projects
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
the ability to retain, analyze and synthesize information
Experience Required:
Litigation experience preferred
Minimum requirement would be a college degree and 2 years experience as a paralegal
