Worldwide Content Development creates all the Special Features (linear and interactive supplemental materials) and Interactive Design for all of SPHE's DVD, Blu-ray discs, as well as for digital platforms like Apple, Comcast etc. This team also is responsible for overseeing the creation of Extended Cuts and supervising the ideation, creation, testing and launch of interactive and next generation home entertainment experiences including; select mobile applications, virtual reality and digital product creative, etc.
The Production Coordinator is responsible for coordinating on time delivery of assets and supporting the content development team with all aspects of production and delivery including: managing overall department schedule and delivery metrics (AV, menus, legal etc), handling all department finance, fulfilling WW EPK, talent and department travel, owning the tracking and group update on production milestones, managing the updates and distribution of delivery specs, managing delivery of approved assets to marketing and others, tracking and management of archival footage storage and retrieval requests, owning and setting department meetings and coordinating demos.
Additionally, the coordinator owns and drives the menu localization for all disc and digital products which entails creating translation documents for those products and communicating with localization vendors and Sony territory contacts to ensure that translations are correct and timely. The coordinator then works with the authoring center to facilitate any QC notes and updates associated with any disc profile they own.
As Production Coordinator, primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Menu Localization
• Coordinate with localization vendor to ensure reports are accurate & translations are timely
• Ensure that the territories are approving and providing translations on time
• Facilitate additional translations for other digital partners, mobile projects, etc.
• Update QC notes for every international (non-NA) disc and digital product
• Update/confirm the correct localized approved text if discrepancy
• Work with territories to provide PRISM support related to translations
• Communicate with the Authoring team on late localization approvals and updates
• Update PRISM dictionary with newly approved translation
• Update configs per the request of Menus & the territories
• Ensure that newly added menus are configured by their appropriate date
• Department Admin
• Organize weekly team agenda & bi-weekly update agendas
• Handle all department finance
• Fulfill EPK and clip requests as assigned
• Facilitate drives between vendors, post production, creative content etc.
• Request scripts from the Story Department
• Facilitate script distribution and security
• Track overall studio slate schedule and production timelines to ensure content dev is ideating during pre-production
• Coordinate all talent and department travel needs
• Review content & provide creative notes as requested by the team
• Digital Development
• Request AV assets from AVS Vault to authoring facility
• Create menu's, write descriptions and finalize configurations
• Work with SPHE legal team to confirm clearance on all materials
• Ensure that localized text is approved and on time
• Obtain menu assets via SPHE systems
• Review and approve creative routing and emulate builds
• System Development
• Designs and sponsors enhancements to reports or screens for menu and localization workflow development
REQUIREMENTS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
• Bachelor's Degree
• 1-2 years of entertainment experience
