Business Analyst, IT (12 Month Maternity Cover)

OVERVIEW
Sony Pictures Entertainment requires an IT Business Analyst on a 12 month contract (maternity cover) to support our Home Entertainment business. This is an entry level position serving as an interface to the business users, with the guidance of a Senior Business Analyst, to assist the SPHE (Sony Pictures Home Entertainment) IT team in understanding the business processes, workflows, and information requirements of the users.
The Business Analyst will primarily serve to support the current and future applications and the requirement analysis process. Providing consulting on a reactive and proactive basis for enhancement and testing services.
Covering all countries across EMEA, the Business Analyst will be responsible for supporting day to day operations and managing enhancements of several key business applications and will also work on projects as required.
This role will work within the European head office in London and will liaise with the teams based across EMEA, using an off-shore resource pool, to deliver end-to-end solutions.
The successful candidate will typically have 1-2 years BA experience in the media and entertainment industry, possess good analytical and communication skills, be a natural problem solver and be comfortable engaging with high level management. Knowledge of requirements analysis and the system development lifecycle would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities include the following (but not limited to):
• Collect, review, analyse, manage, system and user requirements from business users
• Document detailed functional & data business requirements, process flows, use cases, & information needs
• Work with technical leads to clarify functional requirements
• Primary liaison for UAT, creating and performing test cases
• Serve as a liaison to other teams in planning, coordination, development and deployment of enhancements / projects
• Ensure delivery of project and enhancement requirements meeting the requirements defined by the business customer
• Accountable for ensuring training needs are met for new or existing applications
