Monument Records, a division of Sony Music Entertainment, is a multi-genre label based in Nashville. Under the leadership of Jason Owen and Shane McAnally, Monument launched in 2017 with flagship artists Walker Hayes and Caitlyn Smith.
Monument Records is searching for a creative, detailed, innovative and relationship driven professional who can help make a direct impact on our artists’ sales and success in the online world.
The Director, Digital Strategy is an all-encompassing role focusing on the entire digital strategy of the label and artists. This person must be knowledgeable in all aspects of the digital realm (marketing, technology, social media, advertising, data analysis etc.) while excelling in streaming and digital retail.

Responsibilities
• Develop and drive overall digital strategies for the label and artists
• Liaison between label and key streaming and digital retail partners including but not limited to Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, Google/YouTube, VEVO, Slacker, Napster, Tidal, and more.
• Pitch accounts for featured placement and secure promotional opportunities and campaigns
• Maintain a full understanding of all accounts brands, promotional opportunities, consumer bases, and work closely with them to develop strategies that drive revenue and maximizes artist exposure
• Monitor account activities; be aware of marketplace and partnerships with other artists, labels, and products
• Create strategy to drive data acquisition and engagement
• Develop and establish best practices for D2C strategy for the label
• Work with vendors on website development, store and splash builds, research, design and beyond
• Develop and oversee social media strategies; including posting strategies, analytics, influencer networks, fan building, advertising, creative and more.
• Develop and oversee digital publicity initiatives
• Pitch internal and external partners for playlist inclusion and create and maintain owned playlists and grow subscriber base
• Work with Marketing Manager to conduct and perform detailed research and analysis on our artists, releases, sales, streams, and revenue to evaluate how to run campaigns for maximum exposure
• Work in conjunction with Marketing Manager on the creation of digital advertising campaigns
• Keep entire team up to date all the most important updates and changes in the digital space from partners to tools and technology and beyond
Qualifications
• Experience in a digital marketing position with proven success in creating innovative, creative campaigns (typically gained through three or more years of experience)
• Extensive knowledge of streaming services, playlisting strategy, streaming analytics, and overall digital marketing as well as technology, and the digital industry as a whole
• Existing relationships with accounts and playlisters
• Existing relationships with digital press outlets, bloggers, and social influencers
• Strong collaborative skills
• Ability to transition quickly and seamlessly while always executing
• Strong knowledge of new and changing technology
• Strong knowledge of digital advertising with proven ad campaign successes
• Experience with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Next Big Sound, BuzzAngle, etc) -
• Creativity and willingness to think outside the box
• Willing to work frequent nights/weekends and available for travel
• Microsoft Office Suite required / Photoshop preferred
• Proven experience in managing multiple projects at once with flawless execution
• Excellent verbal, written, and analytical skills
