Sesame Workshop is looking for a Bilingual Special Project Production Assistant. The Special Project Production team produces video content for our domestic Social Impact initiatives, Sesame Street home video and other projects. We supervise the production of studio based segments and narratives with our Sesame Street characters, as well as animation and music videos. We often collaborate with outside filmmakers on content for our Social Impact projects. We ideate and create approaches in collaboration with the Social Impact team to help families and children facing specific challenges. Previous projects have included creating content around the topics of Divorce, Incarceration, Resiliency, and Food Insecurity. The majority of our Social Impact projects are produced in both English and Spanish.
Responsibilities
1. Provide Administrative support for 2 Vice Presidents. Tasks include:
Calendar maintenance
Booking travel arrangements & creating itineraries
Create and maintain monthly Project Timeline Grid
Create and submit expense reports
Maintain fiscal year expense and budget tracking documents
Timesheet tracking and submission to the Pay Roll Department
PTO department calendar
Material preparation for meetings and presentations
Facilitate department new hire needs: building access cards, computer, phone and e-mail set-up
2. Provide support for Social Impact production projects including:
Document creation (charts, casting packets, tracking documents)
Attend meetings and take notes
Library research
Script translation
Script timing and typing
Provide links to video content for internal/external teams as needed
3. Provide support for Home Video production projects including:
Content research for potential releases
Maintain compilation and release schedule documents
Assist with check discs and review English/Spanish subtitles for accuracy
Create credit lists and final verbatim scripts
4. Supervise and coordinate submission of award entries in a timely manner for Social Impact Production and Home Video.
5. Assist with any needs for Themed Entertainment shows including:
Research
Script and note tracking
Gathering music reference
Screening shows
Audio session support as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
Production experience
Bilingual (Spanish/English) Native speaker
Experience with Word/Excel/Power point
Excellent communication and organizational skills
