Full Time Paid Internship
The Yield Management intern will assist pricing and planning with the implementation and testing of a new inventory and yield management system for Scripps Digital business teams. This project will lay the foundation for product structure, targeting, and campaign management for 2017 and beyond, and the candidate will help build complex reports for finance, sales, and analytics teams. This internship will also include exposure to Ad Sales, Supply and Demand Economics, Revenue Management Strategy, Pricing Strategy, Inventory Forecasting, Media Planning, and Campaign Management.
Job Description:
This spring internship will begin on or after January 22, 2018, and end on or before April 20, 2018.
Internship Qualifications
• Intern must be a rising or current junior, rising or current senior, graduate student, or recent graduate (within 6 months of graduation date) at an accredited college/university.
• Applicants must have completed their sophomore year prior to the start of the internship.
• Must have previous internship experience and/or participated in college clubs/organizations, and/or in-depth coursework in a related field
• Legally eligible to work in the United States. Scripps Networks is unable to sponsor visas for interns. If you are an international student not already studying in the U.S. on an F-1 or J-1 visa, then you have to go through a university or an outside organization (internship placement agency) that will sponsor your visa.
• Must have strong oral and written communications skills, as well as exceptional organization and planning skills
• You must include your anticipated graduation
• Must have an interest in the media and television industries
Duties and Responsibilities
• Develop, structure, and test forecasting methods and product groupings for digital products across display and video environments
• Identify core product groups
• Identify product overlaps across multiple targeting layers
• Implement process to move data to new system and then analyze data for trends
• Develop performance reports for inventory, marketing, and finance teams
• Develop post campaign reports for clients and internal purposes
• Review/Recommend forecast strategy and test potential outcomes with Pricing/Sales leadership for digital inventory
