Job Description:

What you will be doing:
• Set up and operate equipment properly for duplication, transcode and digitize processes
• Data entry of program segment information into broadcast databases and on-air automation systems and ingest tape based content into broadcast and non-linear servers
• Ensure media assets are available when needed for deployment on designated platforms using internal databases and monitor and enforces technical standards and policies for all broadcast programming by real time technical evaluation
• Process media requests. This includes videotape duplication, DVD burning, encoding of video, Avid digitizing video and transcoding of files
• Pull all materials needed for requests, i.e. master tapes, stock, etc.
• Troubleshoot technical discrepancies on dubs and provides corrective measures to remedy problems
• Complete and package to requestor's specifications including working directly with clients on technical specification requirements and delivery requirements
• Work directly on media request application to ensure the correct status and proper documentation of requests and perform internal delivery or shipping of media requests.
• Work with international clients to process and deliver content globally. This includes establishing technical and delivery requirements on a country-by-country basis
• Work with non-linear partners to process transcoded deliverables and monitors transcoding systems and troubleshoots errors as they arise
• Record satellite feeds to multiple formats while coordinating live closed captioning and facilitate video publishing, distribution workflow and logistics for digital distribution
• Serve as liaison with internal and external distribution partners to ensure accurate and on-time delivery of programming and prepare daily shift notes that reflect all work completed as well as any issues encountered during the day
What you need to have:
• College degree preferred or equivalent experience
• One year of experience in a broadcast TV environment
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
• Knowledge of the routing of video and audio signals, transmission, broadcasting and of operation of telecommunications systems
• Ability to operate multi format VTR's – Primarily XDCAM and HDCAM and to troubleshoot and resolve routine duplications system problems
• Ability to control operations of equipment or systems related to duplication
• Apply basic functional/technical and business knowledge of the organization's operations, methods, and practices
• Learn and apply foundational information/concepts in area of practice and ability to adapt work pace and priorities in order to meet deadlines and goals
• Knowledge of waveform monitors and vector scopes, broadcast automation systems and familiar with automated quality control systems
• Avid-based editing or Adobe Premiere, including but not limited to digitizing, billboard creation, slate revisions, music video tagging, web toss removal and audio track layouts.

• Strong PC background, with demonstrated proficiency with Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook and proficiency with Apple operating systems
