JOB SUMMARY
School of Style, a boutique fashion school for stylists is seeking a self-motivated and results-driven digital content intern with strong writing skills to assist our marketing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who wants to gain hands-on experience in the execution of content marketing and social media campaigns.
Get a glimpse into the exciting world of fashion through our courses and through assisting on the day-to-day tasks collaborating with the Director of Content and Marketing in all stages of marketing campaigns. Your insightful contribution will help develop, expand and maintain our marketing channels. This internship will help you acquire digital marketing skills and provide you with knowledge of various marketing strategies for an online educational business.
This is an unpaid intern position, but school credit is offered for college students. We're offering a flexible schedule if you continue to take classes or you wish to pursue other opportunities simultaneously. Mileage and some expenses are provided. This position will primarily be home-based, with some work days based in our Miracle Mile office. You will need to have a car to run work related errands and bring your own laptop. This job is one that includes much fun and freedom, but also carries a lot of responsibility and self-motivation.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The work you do will vary and may be heavier in some areas than others. The following are the types of online marketing work you'll perform:
Copy optimization for content marketing
Brainstorm, research and contribute to newsletter, social media and blog copy
Assist content creation for all of our company social media accounts, including organizing cross-platform content strategies
Monitor social channels for trending news, and ideas then capitalize on those trends through our social media accounts
Support the marketing team in daily administrative tasks
Help organize company events or live classes
Performs other duties as required
THE REQUIREMENTS
To be considered, applicants should have the following minimum qualifications:
Preferred strong knowledge and interest of fashion as well as experience writing about fashion
Familiarity with social media strategies and platform
Enthusiastic, hard working, & detail-oriented
Dependable, punctual, and a great attitude
Reliable transportation
Outstanding writing and editing skills
Advanced computer skills and strong familiarity with the web
Detail-oriented and organized
Basic understanding of marketing concepts and principles
Quick learner who listens and asks good questions
Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work
Enough confidence to share your ideas, participate in business conversations, and take (or give) constructive criticism
Positive disposition and ability to work well with others
The internship may be extended for the right candidate.
