SDI Media is looking for an Account Representative who thrives in a multicultural environment, is naturally curious and has a knack for providing support and good communication to our wide-range of internal and external customers. You're a great match if you possess fantastic troubleshooting and analytical skills, are driven to help customers, and have the ability to take initiative and simplify complex ideas. This role requires the successful applicant to be bilingual in Japanese and English.
The Account Representative is part of the Client Operations team that is SDI's link between our external customers and our internal production entities. The Account Representative is an entry-level (or higher, depending on experience) position managing the localization needs for our clients. There is great business potential for the right individual looking for professional growth.
Please note, this is not a sales or post-production role. Rather, the Account Representative is on the front lines of communication with our clients, acting as a liaison between our clients and our technical team. Customer service, Client service, and/or Media industry experience is a plus not a requirement
Responsibilities
Works to promote positive relations with client during daily interaction and communication with client.
Must build strong working relationships within department, company and with clients.
Effectively communicates and coordinates activities for new and ongoing projects with Production department, technical team, management, and clients to ensure that delivery requirements and objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters as dictated by client.
Oversee production process from start to finish, identifying and addressing project changes, potential problems and issues, and fielding client requests and complaints.
Reviews client orders, determines and schedules project deliverables, production milestones, and required tasks.
Manages client order specs, production data, and required elements.
Actively participates in customer-service initiatives including meeting and entertaining clients on a regular basis.
Gathers information for Finance department; consults on invoice and billing process as requested by Finance.
Adheres to company policies and procedures.
Must work overtime and weekends when needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.

A strong background and understanding of customer service and a client-service focus.
The ability to effectively manage client expectations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate needs and requirements between numerous parties, and relay information responsively back to client.
The ability to work within deadlines, ensuring timely, cost-effective delivery and client satisfaction.
Competency in the execution of large, dynamic, complex tasks.
Qualifications and Experience
A four-year business and/or communications degree desired or 2-3 years of customer service related work experience.
Interest in the entertainment industry and/or post-production.
Administrative experience managing multiple forms, orders and communications internally and externally.
Must be able to read/write correspondence in Japanese
