Full Time Job
POSITION PURPOSE: Assist senior management in the day to day operations of the Professional Representatives department, which includes overseeing staff and department functions, as well as acting as the lead personal managers' liaison.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise and manage staff; including but not limited to, handling personnel issues (staffing/training/discipline/promotions, etc.), employee performance evaluations, complaints and schedules.
• Function as organizer by outreaching to potential signatories to the SAG-AFTRA Personal Managers Code of Ethics and Conduct; conduct educational and outreach seminars tied to contractual interpretation and legal obligations of members signing contracts under either Agency or Management Regulations.
• Responsible for appraising employee productivity; direct, manage, oversee, and review the processing of all agency and/or manager documents for legal and regulatory compliance of Regulations, policies and procedures.
• Manage and apportion work among employees; including but not limited to assigning the work, divide, and coordinate tasks accordingly, and regulate workloads.
• Interpret and enforce the Legacy SAG and Legacy AFTRA Agency Regulations.
• Exclusively field all interpretational questions relating to legal provisions in Personal Managers Code of Ethics and Conduct.
• Provide member, agent and manager excellent and accurate service and support per SAG-AFTRA mission statement; address complex and legal interpretation questions.
• Conduct premise inspections of talent agency &/or manager offices in LA area to ensure compliance with Agency Regulations and Manager Code requirements for affiliation with the union. Responsible for composing inspection reports; discretion to approve or disapprove office spaces.
• Research, investigate, file, mediate and resolve agency, manager and member issues and claims for non-compliance. Provide all supervisory oversight to claim/dispute mechanisms and dispute resolution.
• Assist with technological developments and enhancements, troubleshooting phone and system(s) issues and executing all appropriate and necessary changes and/or fixes, as well as determining the types of equipment to be used in performing work, or materials needed.
• Handle all incoming general email inquiries daily to ensure legally accurate information is disseminated to the public with respect to Agents and Managers rules.
• Handle and maintain all confidential employee personnel files and documents re; discipline and other employee issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Have an understanding and awareness of worker rights impacting SAG-AFTRA members.

• Capable of taking direction from more than one supervisor.
• Must be able to work in a challenging environment where constructive feedback from others is encouraged.
• Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined at SAG-AFTRA's sole discretion.
• Must be available and willing to work extended hours per day or per week, including weekends and holidays, as SAG-AFTRA determines is necessary to meet its business needs.
• Must be available and willing to travel to such locations and with such frequency as SAG-AFTRA determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
and/or Experience:
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of entertainment and/or union related experience.
• Knowledge of SAG and/or AFTRA contracts preferred.
• Knowledge of Agency Rules/Regulations, Managers Code of Ethics and Conduct and existing procedures a plus.
• Familiar with arbitration process a plus.
