Rodale Inc. is currently seeking a proactive, articulate and energetic Temporary Sales Assistant to support our Chicago based sales team across all of our health and wellness brands. This position rewards those who have a passion for living a healthy lifestyle and those that possess strong communication and analytical skills. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, have a positive can-do attitude, ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and work with many dynamic personalities. The Sales Assistant position is an entry-level position based in Chicago.
Responsibilities
include:
• Post Sale Account Management (Screenshots, Social Post Management, Wrap Up Reports )
• Assisting all New York reps with screenshots for their campaigns as needed
• Filling out RFPs for print publications
• Joining brainstorms and helping with notes
• Maintaining Chicago office and keeping orderly
• Mailings
• Prospecting and client contact list management
• Marketing deck help for smaller accounts
• Pre-call reports for meetings, as well as large trips
• Competitive analysis
• Aide in the organization of sales prep materials including competitive research, scheduling of the appointments and coordination of all logistics for travel
• Manage accurate client and agency contact lists for the sales managers/directors
• Assist with accurate reporting of the print and digital revenue reporting through AMS/FatTail and communication with digital sales planners; be proficient in Rodale reporting systems to be able to pull accurate reports for the sales team
• Handle basic administrative tasks such as submission of expense reports, maintain office supplies and magazine subscriptions
• Have a strong attention to detail and organization skills
• Analyze marketing trends and competition through all media platforms to assist sales team in lead generation
Qualifications:
• College degree
• Publishing, marketing and digital experience a plus
• Strong organizational skills and the ability project manage
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with the ability to solve problems
• Strong written, verbal and math skills
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in database programs, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
