Women’s Health is currently seeking a proactive, articulate and energetic Sales Assistant to support the NYC-based SVP, Publisher & Managing Director of Women’s Health magazine. This individual is crucial in supporting the day-to-day function of the SVP Publisher & Managing Director, as-well-as the Women’s Health staff. The Assistant position requires attention to detail, organization, strong communication and analytical skills. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, have a positive can-do attitude, ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and work with many dynamic personalities. This position is located in New York City. The ideal candidate should have an interest in sales, marketing, social media, events etc.
Responsibilities include:
• Preparation and distribution of presentation information
• Conduct research on accounts and market trends
• Assist in the preparation of requests for proposal
• Craft regular correspondence with clients
• Work on special projects as needed and basic administrative tasks
• Scheduling of travel and handling expense reports through Concur expense system
Qualifications:
• The ideal candidate will possess a college degree and at least one year of experience in a similar line of work in a fast-paced environment.
• He/she will also demonstrate solid organizational skills, the ability to multitask, a can-do attitude and the ability to be a problem solver.
• The candidate should also be highly detail oriented.
• Possess strong PC skills in database programs such as Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
