At Plexus Entertainment we have a mission to bring technology solutions to filmed entertainment marketing. We are looking for a strong, talented team member to jump into an exciting role at our tech and entertainment startup.
We work with large and small movie distributors, media companies and industry associations and offer website building tools, specialized widgets and our API to our partners and clients. Our software is integrated with digital marketing campaigns for both independent and major movies and media sites, helping consumers find out how, when and where to watch their favorite content.
You will work, both independently and in conjunction with the CEO to grow our client base. You will also help create corporate marketing and sales materials and manage accounts. You will have a voice in product development as your client and market experience will help keep our product evolving.
We will consider candidates with experience from both the studio or the indie side of the industry. Interest and experience in working with technology is important. A successful candidate will be energetic, flexible and capable of working independently, with strong interpersonal skills. This position would be set in either New York City or Los Angeles depending on where we find the best candidate.
Requirements:
- Passion for learning the latest marketing technologies and techniques
- Verifiable track record closing
- Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
- Experience prospecting, cold calling and networking to find leads and prospects
- Can-do positive attitude - enthusiastic, determined and persuasive
- Ability to connect on a personal level
- Quick intellect and demonstrated ability to produce quality work under tight deadlines
- Must be a good listener
- Ability to prioritize, problem-solve and multitask
- Ability to work independently, while maintaining focus and productivity
- Experience in film or TV marketing
- Experience in working with digital marketing technology or ad tech a plus
Key responsibilities:
- Perform and execute full-cycle business development from lead generation to closing deals
- Plan, prioritize and qualify opportunities and build a strong business pipeline
- Build rapport with clients and marketing teams and develop relationships through follow-up phone calls, emails and with electronic campaigns to keep in front of key target prospects.
- Identify new opportunities for success; identify client-driven needs and ideas for product improvements
- Strategize and collaborate within the company for presentations; help ideate on product improvements
- Stay informed about new opportunities/technologies/trends
- Provide weekly reporting on items including prospect meetings, new opportunities, project development and targeted campaigns
- Help launch, manage, monitor and evaluate client campaigns to help ensure project success; troubleshoot client issues, communicate to internal team members
