Job Purpose
The Sales Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Marketing Partnerships Sales team in growing and retaining revenue by developing proposals/sales materials and preparing/ analyzing market research. The primary role of the Sales Assistant will be to help Sr. Marketing Partnerships sales team members with creating effective sales presentations and compelling business cases to secure Marketing Partnerships for the Suns, Mercury and Legends Entertainment District.
Primary (Essential) Duties
• Creation of sales proposals in PowerPoint with the development of artistic renderings of proposed elements with a Creative Services team member as assigned or needed
• Development and maintenance of master sales presentation and all other sales collateral as assigned
• Implementation of audio/visual components for sales presentation
• Prospect local and national businesses for partnership/sponsorship opportunities and create detailed one sheets
• Conduct competitive analysis of other area sporting teams in regards to sponsorships
• Provide daily news clips on prospects and partners as needed
• Observe Sponsorship sales representatives in partner meetings as assigned
• Participate in Drive to Retail activation and hosting hospitality as assigned
• Assist in other departmental areas and special projects as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities
• General understanding of advertising, media and sponsorship sales process
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Capability to meet time sensitive project deadlines
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Ability to work unsupervised and to function both independently and as a team member
Experience/Education Requirements
• Undergraduate Degree-Preferably Marketing or Business
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and Adobe Photoshop
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
• Candidate will be required to spend the majority of each day looking at a computer monitor and mobile devices
• Traditional business hours with the addition of weekends, evenings, holidays and some overtime to meet business needs
