JOB DESCRIPTION – (Director, Ticket Operations)
Department: Ticket Operations
Reports to: Vice President, Service & Operations
Classification: Full Time, Exempt
Position Summary:The Director of Ticket Operations drives the functions for the team's Ticket Operations department. This individual will be responsible for the oversight, recruitment and hiring of all Ticket Operations staff members. In addition, they will also oversee the processing and payments of all ticketing orders and identify ways to ensure the department is operating efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
include, but are not limited to the following:
• Oversee the day-to-day functions of the Ticket Operations department including the hiring, training, and development of the Ticket Operations staff
• Enhance the current request and fulfillment processes' for maximum efficiency and results
• Responsible for the ticketing system's set-up, up-keep and monitoring season-after-season
• Manage the daily revenue report, gate receipts, specific League requests and other reports
• Monitor ticket inventory and partner with the Ticket Sales and Analytics departments to maximize revenue opportunities
• Serve as liaison between the Sixers and StubHub regarding our ticketing platform partnership
• Develop formalized on-boarding for new hires for Ticket Sales & Service and ensure continuous training for staff
• Partner with the Finance department to monitor the cash-flow and reporting for all ticket-related orders
• Collaborate with stakeholders from across different departments to execute the organizations' complimentary ticket program
Qualifications
(educational, experience and basic knowledge requirements):
• 3 year's prior Ticket Operations experience, preferably in a professional sports or entertainment environment
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Continuous desire to learn, grow and develop themselves and others as a professional
• Proficient in Excel
• Must be a strong leader with creative and innovative approaches to job related functions
• Highly effective interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence and problem-solving abilities
• Requires a varied schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
Special Position Requirement
• Experience with the Spectra's Paciolan ticketing system is preferred
• Ability to create, analyze and interpret financial reports
