NorthSouth Productions: Graphic Design Intern
NorthSouth Productions, the producers of Impractical Jokers and Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta, is one of the largest independent producers of television programming in the country. Providing programming to a variety of networks including truTV, Discovery Channel, Speed, History, A&E, TLC and Travel Channel, our production credits include competition-elimination, documentaries, adventure travel, home improvement and docu-comedy formats.
For the Fall 2017 semester, NorthSouth Comedy, a division of NorthSouth Productions focusing solely on unscripted and scripted content, is seeking a lively, inquisitive, and hungry Junior or Senior intern to exclusively assist our development team with creative design of materials such as show logos, treatments, sales decks, and more. This is an opportunity to work with seasoned television executives and learn the design and creative side of the business while being able to build up your own graphic design portfolio.
Responsibilities:
Working with three development executives on ongoing development projects to execute graphic design elements to accompany these projects. These elements include but are not limited to: treatments, pitch decks, logos, photoshopped images to be used in sizzle reels.
Attend brainstorm meetings with executives.
Submit mock-ups and proposals to executives on design ideas for projects in development and ways to convey the tone and energy of the projects.
Job Requirements:
Available at least 3 days per week.
High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
Undergraduate Junior or Senior with the ability to receive college credit. Must not have already graduated.
Organized and efficient.
Great eye for design and strong attention to detail!
Works well with deadlines and has the ability to absorb feedback and execute necessary changes.
Strong writing skills a plus.
Friendly with a sense of humor! This is a no asshole workplace!
An interest in comedy and/or television is a huge plus
