NYC based in office position
NeXtpert and our sister experiential event styleX is looking for someone smart, energetic, outgoing, and resourceful to join our team to assist with marketing and sales initiatives that will grow the neXtpert community on both the client and blogger side.
The role will be hugely rewarding and take place in a super supportive and fun environment, in addition to being fast-paced with high expectations.
First and foremost, you need to be a self-starter and an absolutely stellar writer. Grammar Nerds, Wordsmiths, and Overachievers wanted. You'll take concepts and articulate them across Facebook, Twitter, blog posts, and you'll enjoy the challenge. You not only have new and interesting ideas, but the drive to execute them quickly, measure the results, and make recommendations for the next time around. You don't give up easy and will be able to articulate why neXtpert is such an incredible community to various stakeholders, from bloggers to sponsors.
Passion for new technology, fashion, and helping others is a huge plus. Start and end date flexible based on school schedule.
As part of a small team you'll get your hands dirty and learn much more than you do at an average internship. Our goal is to help people, and you'll love every minute of it, from customer service emails to making intros between event attendees. You will be mentored and taught everything we know, and you'll teach us things as well.

Skills / Experience:
Amazing communicator and listener
You are fast in how you work and learn new things
Outstanding time management / follow up skills
Working well under pressure
Excellent writing skills / copywriting chops
Public speaking comes easy
Experience creating things from scratch...coming up with ideas, then executing
Starting or running a club in college
One year related internship experience
Software / tools:
Social media knowledge (at least Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook)
Wordpress (100% must know)
Email newsletter tools (we use Mailchimp)
Google Docs, Google Presentations/Powerpoint
Bonus if you know:
CRM (Zoho, Salesforce, Streak, Yesware, etc). We use Zoho CRM, so you'll be expected to learn and use the tool as well, Eventbrite, Photoshop + video editing tools, Google Analytics, photography, Buffer
Responsibilities:
Create social media content (including blog and email content) to advertise events, Premium Membership program, and job board
Assist with execution of marketing efforts aimed to bring in new community members (users) and sell tickets to events
Develop attendee, employer, and sponsor prospect lists
Produce sponsor, partner, and employer wrap reports
Assist with reaching employer sales goals
Brainstorm new and innovative sponsor activations
Assist in the production of programs
Assist with general administrative tasks
