Netflix is continuing its expansion into Japan, and is following a strategy of being locally relevant to the Japanese market, through the creation of specific by region marketing plans for both brand and content campaigns.
Netflix is looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to handle creative campaigns for the Japanese market. The position is based in Tokyo and will report to the Director of Marketing, Japan.
Responsibilities
• Setting by country strategies and managing the delivery of those strategies
• Ensure that the marketing team has the context to deliver amazing campaigns
• Ensure that the core Netflix culture is embodied in the region
• The person in this role ensures that we take all appropriate opportunities from a content or product perspective in the market.
• Lead thinking in the region about which content to back
• Working with the VP of Marketing, Director of Marketing, and the Marketing team to develop brand specific campaigns in Japan.
• Oversee the Netflix originals and the demand creation marketing plans across the region
• Lead key marketing initiatives, considering how we best include other disciplines including PR, Product, Content, Consumer Insights and FP&A
Qualifications
• Experience managing both brand and entertainment campaigns
• Ability to create and execute campaigns autonomously
• Strong online marketing skills spanning acquisition, brand and social, and experience with integrated, multi-media marketing projects
• Solid understanding of creative key art and video execution, media, advertising, and entertainment marketing
• Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously without the support of a large team
• Prior project management, team leadership experience, or agency management
• Strong relationship management skills. Client or agency experience is a plus.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Japanese
