This position will be based in Aoyama, Tokyo office. The role is a hybrid role, being a part of the Employee Services team as well as Tokyo Talent (HR) team. We operate in one HR team to support our stunning colleagues based in Tokyo (may support APAC region in the future). You will run the infrastructure to deliver an outstanding employee experience from onboarding and throughout the lifecycle of employment @ Netflix. You will be a key player in the employee experience, interacting with employees daily to address their employment questions and needs. The role supports onboarding, benefits, relocation, contingent workforce, employment compliance, and HRIS. You will be expected to be highly independent, proactive in identifying and implementing positive change and improvements in employee experience that are aligned to our culture.
What you will support:
• Employee Experience: - Identifying areas of the employee experience ripe for improvement, where we can reduce bureaucracy, increase the time spent working vs. administrative tasks and improve general productivity.
• Onboarding new talent and maintaining the relationship going forward: Facilitating new hire - orientation; welcoming new employees to Netflix, explaining our key benefit and equity programs and answering employee questions.
• Benefits operations: responsible for the day-to-day operations and administration of benefit programs including providing benefits overview to employees, coordinating benefits enrolment with brokers at hire and throughout the employee cycle, issue resolution, invoice payment and reconciliation.
• Employment compliance?: responsible for the day-to-day compliance activities including country-specific reporting, maintaining required postings in all locations, owning the administration of leaves of absence.
• HR Data Integrity?: Tracking and updating Workday with all employee changes so we maintain the highest levels of integrity and accuracy in our HR data.
• HR coordinations: support Senior Recruiter on recruiting activities in Japan, be a part of Company Meeting/off-site project member and Health & Safety committee

• Demonstrated ability to identify and drive improvements and continuously simplify processes.
• Japanese social insurance and payroll administration experience is highly sought after
• 401K pension administration is nice to have
• Japanese labor law knowledge (work regulations, 360)
• Experience with navigating HRMS systems (Workday experience is preferred) and highly proficient with mining and analysing data in Google sheets skills or MS Excel.
• Experience working with employees based in multiple locations is a plus
• 5 years of previous and relevant professional experience.
• Bilingual in both Japanese and English
