The Content Marketing Manager is responsible for managing local studio relations as it pertains to creative asset rights and approvals for local content usage in marketing, social, PR, and partner marketing. S/he will facilitate the usage of local licensed content and Netflix original programs for various marketing campaigns by serving as a conduit among Japan's marketing functions, such as Social Media, PR, and Partner Marketing. The ideal Content Marketing Manager is a self-motivated worker who thrives in an environment that relies on his/her self-discipline and ability to set and meet simultaneous daily and long-term deadlines. S/he is extremely detail-oriented and a strong communicator who responds well in a fast-paced environment, and is adept in negotiating tactics and strategies. With shifting priorities and multiple deadlines, the position requires a high level of multi-tasking and follow-through. The position is based at our Tokyo Office and will report to the Vice President of Marketing.
Responsibilities:
• Handle creative asset rights and approvals for all local marketing endeavors, and foster relationships with local vendors
• Provide support to internal marketing, PR, social, and partner marketing teams
• Independently execute and use discretion to escalate issues in a timely and appropriate manner
• Understand, advocate, and embody the company's values and team goals
• Consistently strive to review the current operational workflow and identify efficiencies
• Assist with digital asset management and archiving including transferring, renaming, attaching metadata, adjusting, backing up and uploading
• Assist with downloading, formatting and distributing EPK, clips and video footage.
Qualifications:
• BA/BS degree required
• Minimum 2 years of experience dealing with marketing assets and partner relationships preferably in a studio or technology related environment
• Must be able to maintain accuracy and attention to detail with high volume tasks
• Strong team player
• Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive tasks simultaneously and independently
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Fluency in English and Japanese
