Search for Executive Assistant To The CEO jobs in New York-NY
The Tony Award nominated, Drama Desk Award winning National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene (NYTF), the longest consecutively producing theatre in the US, is looking for one New York City-based Executive Assistant to be hired immediately; please do not apply if you cannot start right away and you don't live in the NYC area.
Est. 1915 the ''Folksbiene'' or ''people's stage'' emerged as the country's first socially conscious theatre by giving a voice to an underserved population of immigrant artists and audiences. The Folksbiene aims to bridge Jewish culture with a secular world using the arts as a connector to heritage, identity, and global citizenship. The company carries the unique responsibility to celebrate Jewish culture as a mainstay of American life, reflecting the advances, collaborations and innovations that helped shape a land of opportunity, music and stories. Its shows are presented in a variety of languages (primarily English, Yiddish, and Russian) accompanied by translation supertitles for accessibility.
Candidates must have at 2 years of administrative experience, with at least 1 of those years as an executive assistant to a high-level executive. Knowledge of the Yiddish language is a bonus, but not required.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the ideal candidate will need to be intelligent, driven, organized, and thick-skinned. The ability to multi-task under pressure and tight deadlines is a must. This is not an entry-level position. Experience handling large volumes of emails and calls and knowing how to roll calls is a must. Experience organizing large amounts of paperwork and attention to detail is a must; please highlight that experience in your resume and cover letter.
Job Requirements
To be considered you must have minimum of a Bachelor's degree and a year of assistant experience in theatre, television, film or at an agency. Required mastery of MS Suite (Word, Excel, Office, and PowerPoint). Major advantage for candidate with proficiency using Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat) and video editing (imovie, final cut). Must know standard industry phone and scheduling etiquette, have some knowledge of Broadway theatre and be familiar with the power-players including writers, directors, talent and producers.
